Time flys by - I haven’t blogged in 7 years

So much has happened since my last blog post in 2018!

So much so that I stopped blogging all together and utilized The Gram to share life updates. 

* December 2018 - We bought our first house 94502; spent a white Christmas up in Sunriver, OR; and I discovered a lump in my left breast which was cancer, confirmed January 2019.

* February 2019 - I made due on my promise to Em to get our family a cat. We rescued 8mo. Old Levi from FAAS Alameda. 

* March 2019 - Had 36 rounds of chemo. 

* July 2019 - Had a double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction and had my ovaries removed.

* October 2019 - wrapped up the additional, oral chemo and turned 40yrs old. 

* January 2020 - we picked up 3 1/2yr old Luka, our German Shepherd, from the breeder. 

* February 2020 - finally recovered and well, mom and I took the kids to Disneyland. 

* March 2020 - COVID

* 2021 - due to my compromised immune system, we kept the kids enrolled in Edmentum, online school. Bought a house in Sunriver, OR and refinanced our Alameda house for 2.90%.

* 2022 - All of us were at home. David working, me still working, kids in online school. Grubhub and AmazonFresh Whole Foods delivery got all of our monies. 

*2023 - Held a high position in Corporate America for 2 years that nearly destroyed me. We moved out of our house April-August to completely remodel our Alameda home. My dad passed away in August. Then, in November, I found SJSU and ❤️ it. I run Finance for a fundraising auxiliary. A non-profit. I feel like this is my perfect fit. And I start to feel like myself again.

* 2024 - Em graduated High School and turned 18yrs. old. Nolan started 8th grade and was placed in Algebra I, which is an advanced class that Freshmen typically take. He still wants to be an Engineer. Em is taking at least one gap year to decompress after a really rough five years. May not go to college at all, with our full support. My sister got married! David still works at home full time  

* 2025 - January 20th, Trump is inaugurated as President of the United States. Again. I feel so much anger and fear for all Americans. The day after, today, my BFF asks me for a recipe and I Google it, finding my blog. And thus, it is resurrected. Trump already banned TikTok and then brought it back. Zuckergerg owns META, which owns both FB and Insta and was front row at Trump’s inauguration. This blog will be a backup, safety net, if all social media is soon banned. A true Oligarchy has taken power.
