The Shavers Family has been passing around the flu and, as such, there's been a lot of sporadic shopping, leftover-eating, and take-out, that hasn't enabled me to properly post our week's meal plan.  I think we are all finally on the mend and today, I managed to get to the store while Emily was in school.

Gala apples (on sale, $0.57/lb)

Broccoli crown (on sale, $0.99 each)

Pizza sauce
Organic tomato & basil sauce

1lb limes (on sale $1.99)

Current Inventory
2 portions large shrimp
1 portions ground chicken
4 portions ground turkey
8 portions boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 portions split chicken breasts 
Frozen Bolognese sauce
Frozen Taquitos

Weekly Meal Plan
Meatball subs with tator tots (will freeze half for another meal)
Chicken fajitas with quacamole (will use 1/2 the guacamole later this week)
Soy/Ginger/Lime Shrimp stir-fry with zucchini & mushrooms over rice
Leftovers
Baked "fried" chicken with garlicky mashed cauliflower & spinach salad
Home-made Hawaiian pizza (I made home-made dough a few weeks ago and have Canadian Bacon in the deep freezer from last month's Costco run)
Taquitos with Spanish rice and guacamole

  1. Doesn't it seem early for the flu? Fall has really snuck up on us. Maybe you'll all be in the clear for the winter now :)

  2. Does the total amount include toiletries and such? I am really striving to cut my grocery bill drastically but with all the toiletries and misc. it really adds up.
