25 in 2010: Book 14
One of Jennifer Weiner's newest books Fly Away Home made it's way to the Top 5 best books I've read in 2010!
Although I have the most wonderful relationship with my sister and mother, which would seem to make this book unrepeatable to me, the book was about so much more than just those immediate family relationships: it's about how we're all just individuals doing the very best we can, we all make mistakes, and your family is always there for you when you need them the most! I really gained a new appreciation for my mom and sister while reading this book because I took the time to reflect on how special of a relationship we do have and to be thankful for it. The mother and two sisters in this book each go through some of life's toughest challenges, which end up bringing them all a bit closer and help them to come out on top.
