Nolan's First Birthday Party

We had Nolan's first birthday party in Texas, with our family and our best friends and it was perfect!

It was fitting to have a Sock Monkey themed first birthday party for our little monkey-moo (as Emily refers to him) so, I went on Etsy.com and found the most adorable digital package I was able to customize and then, print once we arrived in Texas. With a little help with Gram, Aunt Jenny, Emily, and David, we punched a few holes, tied some ribbon, and assembled the party favors.

We had lunch from Rudy's BBQ and dessert from Hey, Cupcake.

What a wonderful, memorable, perfectly blessed day we'll always remember!

We played pool, stuffed our faces, played with the balloons, exchanged a ton of hugs & kisses, and caught up on life.

 

David put together a beautiful video montage of Nolan's first year. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater!

Then, we sang "Happy Birthday", enjoyed dessert, and opened presents. Our friends and family even had gifts for Emily. She was so surprised and moved to tears she was so happy, proclaiming this "the best day ever!".

 

A very special gift was the memory book Aunt Jenny made for Nolan. She made one for Emily, too!
