It's Tuesday and you know what that means...

Tuesday Toddler Tales! :)

This week's tales is all about new words. Emily is picking up new words and sounds every single day, it seems and her new favorites are; "head" and "knee".

While in the bath last night, she pointed to her knee and said; "knee" and looked up at me, smiling, waiting for afirmation that she nailed it. It was really cute and it was the first time she had properly said the word and labeled the correct body part.

She picked these words up from the catchy little song; "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" that we sing every Tuesday morning at Baby Bounce Story Time at The Berkeley South Branch Library. She is just starting to actually point to her body, not just say the words during the song, which is beyond adorable but she gets them wrong quite often. ha! We are working on the song almost every day, here at home so that she'll be able to label ALL the body parts in the song before long.
