Our new house!!!!

God shall provide...

After my rant yesterday and the multitude of prayers over the last 8 weeks, it seems there was a light at the end of the tunnel and David & I ended up finding exactly what we've been looking for:

This house couldn't be more perfect, meeting all of our criteria and actually exceeding most of it It's located in the prestigious, Upper East End of Alameda right off High Street and in Eddison School District: Emily will go to Eddison Elementary, the best school in the city! The street is really quiet, private and lined with trees. Emily and I can walk to Encinel Market and our favorite hangout: Crosstown Coffee House!

The home is owned by a couple that lives out of state, that owns three other homes here in Alameda, it's strictly an investment property and will always be a rental home. They have Harbor Bay Realty property manage all their homes: HBR maintains the homes, screens new applicants, they take care of us full time! We had HBR contact the owners and let them know that we are long-term renters and want to raise our family in this home, to ensure they are as serious about this contract as we are and they agreed 100% and approved us on the spot! :)

We move in June 13th, a month before we have to move out of our current house, which gives us that month to clean, paint, babyproof and get fully moved in before we have to turn over our keys to our current house. We are so excited!!!

Check out some of these photos I took today:

Living room with fireplace, built-ins and huge windows and the dining room with gorgeous moulding, huge windows and chandalier. The entire house has hardwood floor!

HUGE, custom kitchen with brand new white appliances, double porcelain sink, built in desk and eat-in kitchen space.

Check out the cedar-lined closet! All the bedroom closets are like this.

The garage has tons of built-in cabinets, electrical outlets, lighting and even windows and is complete with a brand new washer & dryer. It's large enough to park one of our cars in but because we have a huge driveway to park the cars in, we're going to use the garage as a "bonus" room for David to play guitar, do laundry, to work out in and to store some other things in.

We don't truly have a backyard, just a patio but it's more than big enough for Emily and I to play outside and to just sit outside and BBQ.

We have the movers all arranged and we can't wait to get the keys on June 13, 2008!!!
