1) Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall
2) The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
3) Water for Elephants
4) Multiple Blessings by Jon & Kate Gossilin
5) The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
6) Sleeping Arrangments by Madeleine Wickham
7) Mommy Tracked by Whitney Gaskell
8) Gate Crasher by Madeleine Wickham
9) Shopoholic & Sister by Sophie Kinsella
10) Shopoholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella
11) Second Chance by Jane Green
EXCELLENT chick-lit book about how the death of one friend in the group 20 years after High School can bring you back to a friendship that feels like it has always just been there. This book was another one by Jane Green I COULD NOT PUT DOWN; it was engaging and funny and touched on some issues a lot of married couples go through but it isn't depressing at all!
12) I'd Trade My Husband for a Housekeeper by Ashworth & Noble
If you are married and have had a child YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! This book touches on just about everything you as a wife might have experienced as a new mom: a disconnect with your husband, maybe even hating him, losing touch with who you are, feeling isolated and depressed, feeling unattractive and unloved, feeling pressured to "get your marriage back" and a million other things. This book is really really really well-written and is basically just a bunch of research these two women, Ashworth & Noble, did by talking to married women with children all over the country. It's no holds-barred, it's honest and raw and extremely validating and helpful! GO GET THIS BOOK!!!
