The Texas Stars: Emily's 1st Hockey Game!
What a fantastic experience!
Tonight, after a group dinner at Chuy's, mom, David, Emily & I, along with my sister, Jenny, my friend, Alecia and David's friend, Bradshaw, we went up to Cedar Park to see our very 1st hockey game!
The game was at 7:00PM and with Emily needing to get to bed somewhere around the 8:30PM hour, we decided to take two cars. Much to all our surprise, no one went home to put Emily to bed as she was having way too much fun and just did NOT want to leave! :)
Just like at most sporting events, there was loud, upbeat music, lots of flashing & strobe lights, the "kiss cam", an amateur hockey game from some local 3rd graders, a teddy bear drive to help out the local Police Department, and tons of greasy, fattening concession stand foods! Emily's butt rarely left her seat, except to boogie down to the music, of course, her eyes never left the ice, and she was even caught on numerous occasions yelling for The Stars; "Hit it, Stars, knock it in!". ha!
The tickets are only $9 and boy, is it a GREAT time for only $9! We can't wait to go back!
