Stovetop Playdough Recipe
Super easy, super cheap and super quick homemade playdough recipe that will last forever [in a Ziploc bag] and doesn't make your hands stink!
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tarter
1 cup water
1 teaspoon food coloring (I used gel decorating icing as it's all I had)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Wisk together dry ingredients in a small saucepot on your stove.
Pour in wet ingredients and wisk to remove all lumps, cooking over Medium-Low heat.
Stir continuously for 5-6 minutes until dough pulls away from the sides and begins to form a ball.
Pull off heat and dump out onto floured surface (I used less than 1/4 cup flour). Kneed until cool and no longer sticky.
Enjoy!
