Tuesday Toddler Tales

Now that Spring is officially here, it's time to get registered for Spring activities and classes!

At least, if you plan on going through the Parks & Recreation Department as we plan to for Spring (and again this summer!)!  We just got our Spring Activity Guide in the mail this past week and David and I took some time to sit down and decide what we wanted to enroll Emily in.  There's Hockey School, Preschool, Summer Camps, Soccer, Swim Class & Lessons, Hiking, Sandcastle-building contests, Ballet, movies in the park and even breakfast with the Easter Bunny before a big Easter-egg hunt!  So many fun things to choose from!

Even though she doesn't officially begin Preschool until this Fall (we hear from our #1 choice Kiddie Kampus next week!), a lot of her friends are doing Preschool-type classes now through our local Parks & Rec. Department and we wanted her to join in the fun with the few friends we have left with parents who stay-at-home!  We decided to stop going to My Play Place on Fridays in April so, this is our last month.  Instead, starting April 13th, she's going to go to McKinley Parks & Rec. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am - Noon.  We are still going to go to Bay Island Gymnastics on Wednesday mornings from 10:30am - 11:15am.  Tuesday mornings are Peter Rabbit Story Times for 3-5 year olds at our public library and we'll be able to swim at either Franklin or Lincoln heated pools beginning April 1st from 10:00am-5:00pm Monday thru Saturday now that we're members.  Very exciting!!  Hockey School is for 3-5 year olds and is on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm for 8 weeks and they provide all the gear for a great price so, if we can arrange for Chloe's parents to pick her up on Wednesdays, we'll enroll her in that, too.  She saw her first hockey game over the Holidays and hasn't stopped asking if she can play, too!  :)  She hasn't come right out and asked to take a dance class but she is very envious of our neighbor Emma's violin so, we may look into Violin lessons as well this Fall.  Seems our summer is packed!

Once we choose, register and get paid, we'll post our monthly calendar for you all!

  1. I would love to hear how violin classes go. I really think it's a beautiful instrument and was thinking about it for Turtle. He's still a little young, of course, but... never hurts to plan ahead.
