Tuesday Toddler Tales

Emily is currently obsessed with the idea of sleep overs.

She drags her pillows and blankets into the living room every morning and asks David or myself to "have a sleep over" with her as she's waking up for the day.

She pulls her pillows and blankets off her bed every afternoon, making a pallet on the floor, and has a sleep over with every stuffed animal in her room.

At school, she asks a few of her favorite friends to "have a sleep over" up in softy-lofty with the dolls and baby blankets.

At night, when we are reading books to her, she insists we do it on the couch so we can snuggle up in blankets, like at a sleep over.

I think she's trying to tell us she's ready for a real sleep over...

  1. That's so cute. It's funny what kids latch onto.

  2. Just wanted to say that in the 4 year old preK class I hang out with, sleep overs is THE lunch time topic at the mostly girl table. It is crazy! Everyday, it is about who is going to sleep at x's house and who can/can't come and how many nights they can stay. Funny.

  3. Ahh, thanks, Shea, how cute that THIS is their entire social life. I'm hanging on to it as long as she'll allow me. :)
